Fundraising Events & Activities

Fundraising is a major source of revenue for the club and assits us in meeting our operating and maintenance expenses.

Last year we had a new club record in fundraising thanks to most teams holding a fundraising event. The same will happen this year and the challenge is on for every team to hold 1 fundraiser for the season. If you have any ideas (anything at all, large or small) for social or fundraising events please contact a Committee member, or if you have any free time in which to assist (even if only for one hour) please speak with a Committee member to find out what is happening and when and how you can help.

Season 2013 Team Fundraisers

Some teams have completed their fundraiser for the year and some are well underway with planning. If you have a fundraiser in mind, please run your idea through the committee. Ongoing fundraising activities

Edwards Tavern

We are very excited to announce our new venture with Eddies as sponsor and venue for our club and Friday night raffles starting FRIDAY 8^th MARCH from 6pm. 

Every time you purchase a drink or food at Eddies the club will earn credit. Please remember to mention Wodonga Diamonds when you order from the menu or purchase drinks at the bar… or better still… sign up for a membership card and swipe to earn credit for the club every time you make a purchase at Eddies.

 What’s on at Eddies:

• Mondays – Mixed Grill  $20
• Tuesdays – World Parmi Night  $15
• Wednesdays – Oysters  $18/doz
• Thursdays – Steak Night  $20 scotch fillet
• Fridays – Diamonds Raffle & Joker Poker and Putt for Pots night

HAPPY HOUR – every week night, 5 - 6pm  $3 pots
 

Canteen

Canteen sales are a major source of funding for the club. Any time you can offer to assist in staffing the canteen is greatly appreciated. Jo O'Halloran coordinates the canteen roster on behalf of the club.

A reminder to all teams about canteen duty:

1. Each team is to provide one or two parents – half an hour before each team plays (and an hour afterwards if at all possible). You will only have to serve at the counter or do simple food preparation tasks under supervision – no cooking.
2. Training will be provided and calculators are available. Assistance is greatly appreciated. Contact your team managers if you have any queries.
    

Rebel Season Pass program

Sign up for the Season Pass program at Rebel Sports and earn credits for yourself and the club. Ask about the program the next time you purchase something at Rebel Sports and don’t forget to tell them you are affiliated with Wodonga Diamonds.

100 Club – Senior & Reserve Women

Wodonga Diamonds Senior/Reserve Women’s squad are giving you a chance to win $100 every home game for the 2013 season.

For $20, pre-purchase a number between 1 and 100 for the season.  Each home game one number will be drawn for a $100 cash prize. But get in quick... numbers will be allocated on a first in best dressed basis. You can purchase a number for your friends and family too.

Our Club Our Future – ‘Buy a Brick’

This is a fantastic fundraiser which will hopefully be an ongoing one. Wodonga Diamonds have the best grounds and facilities in our local area. We are classed as a ‘premier’ facility by the Wodonga City Council however this comes at a much greater cost to our club than other clubs. More info...
